◇What is an ICL Ambassador?

This award is given only to physicians who have provided excellent surgical skills to patients to promote the widespread adotion of ICL, and who have also contributed as instructors to other physicians. <Risks and Side Effects>

  • It may take some time for the lenses to arrive.
  • Postoperative redness or severe inflammation may occur. You may also experience halos or glare.
  • It may be necessary to exchange the lenses for a different prescription or size after the procedure.
  • For lenses correcting astigmatism, axis adjustment may be required after the procedure.
  • In very rare cases, cataracts or glaucoma may develop.

Post-operative Check-ups

Our clinic’s surgical fees are all-inclusive; they cover the initial consultation, the surgery fee, scheduled post-operative check-ups (with warranty periods varying by procedure), and all necessary pre- and post-operative medications.There are no additional costs.。

A fee of 10,000 yen is charged for the initial visit to cover the examination and consultation. While this amount is credited toward the surgical fee if you decide to proceed with the surgery, please note that it is non-refundable if you choose not to undergo the procedure or if the examination results indicate you are not a suitable candidate.

ICLって何？　レーシックとどう違うの？

What is ICL surgery?

ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) surgery is a type of vision correction procedure that improves eyesight by implanting a specialized lens inside the eye.
It is particularly effective for correcting myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism, and is a suitable option for individuals who are not candidates for LASIK surgery—for instance, due to severe myopia or insufficient corneal thickness.

ICLs are made from Collamer, a highly biocompatible material that is gentle on the eye and provides natural vision.

The procedure is quick—taking just 4–5 minutes per eye or 10–15 minutes for both—minimizing the impact on the patient's daily life. Unlike LASIK, the procedure does not involve reshaping the cornea, and it is reported to offer superior visual quality.

A key advantage is that, should any issue arise, the lens can be removed, allowing the patient to return to using glasses or contact lenses just as they did before the surgery.
