Most of multi-focal IOL lenses are elective treatment, which are more expensive than those covered by insurance.
Recently, the number of selected medical treatments which are offering multi-focal lenses are increasing, even in the insurance-covered medical field. Please note that the lenses are limited in the selected medical treatment.
In addition to five IOLs, which is the most multi-focal lenses in our clinic. We also uses a laser to create a slit in the crystalline lens to create a space for the lens. By using a laser, we can create a uniform, ideal round hole with greater precision than by hand. One of the benefits is that by creating it precisely, we can maximize the effect of the multifocal lens.
