At our clinic, patients who undergo ICL surgery will receive a “lens card” after the procedure.
The card records important information about the ICL lens implanted in your eye, including the lens type, power, and size.
It can be considered an information card that identifies the lens inside your eye.
The card is provided in a special card holder, and we kindly ask you to keep it in a safe place.
The power and size of the ICL lens are calculated based on the detailed examination data obtained before surgery, and the final selection also takes into account the visual outcome preferred by the patient.
There is one important point to note:
The power of the ICL lens is different from the prescription of the contact lenses or glasses you used before surgery.
Therefore, some patients may be surprised to see that the numbers on the lens card differ from their previous contact lens prescription. However, this value is carefully calculated to determine the appropriate lens power for implantation inside the eye, so there is no need to worry.
In the future, if you visit another medical institution or in the unlikely event of an eye-related problem, this lens card will provide important information for doctors.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our staff at any time.
