Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

After ICL surgery, will there be any complications after decades? Is there any long-term risk of ICL?

Until the popularization of Hole ICL, there is a risk that cataract and glaucoma occur after ICL, but Hole ICL has no risk of glaucoma, and the risk of cataract is 0.03% in our clinic’s data, generally less than 1%. It has been 40 years since the first model lens of ICL was used in 1986 and it has been more than 30 years since the current Collamer lens was used. We can say that the long-term stability of the material has been confirmed. There is no new ICL complication reported 10~20 years after ICl operation.
